My passion for community health education stems from a lifelong interest in other’s general well being. Growing up I had a knack for wanting to “fix” people. Injuries, scrapes, broken bones, and other’s injuries would always fascinate me. Whenever my dad would come home from work with a cut or scrape I would always say, “I want to see! I want to see!” It only seemed fitting to pursue a career in the health field. I want to work to help the general public improve their overall health in order to live the healthiest life possible. I would like to ultimately work as a chief executive officer for a hospital. This profession has a lot of influence in the public health field and plays a key role in helping others live healthier lives. I would like to improve specifically health prevention while working in my profession. Prevention is the most important aspect of health education. If we improve and move our focus and energy to promoting positive health prevention, then disease treatment and intervention would decrease, as well as public health expenses. In addition, it would work to improve the general public’s overall health and well-being.
